1. A written complaint is filed by the Complainant with the Chair.
  2. Within five (5) days after receiving the complaint, the Chair will advise the Respondent that a proceeding against them has been commenced and will also provide the Respondent with a copy of the complaint.
  3. Within seven (7) days of receipt of the written complaint, the Respondent may provide a written response to the Chair.
  4. In the event that the Respondent provides the Chair with a written response, the Chair will, within five (5) days of its receipt, provide a copy of the response to the Complainant.
  5. Within fourteen (14) days of filing of the written complaint, the Chair will appoint from the Non-Discrimination and Sexual Misconduct Panel the three members of the Committee that will hear the matter.
  6. Within five (5) days of the appointment of the Committee, the Chair will provide the Complainant and the Respondent with the names of the persons serving on the Committee.
  7. Within five (5) days of receipt of notice of the composition of the Committee, the Complainant and/or the Respondent may file a written objection with the Chair regarding the service of any Committee member.
  8. The Chair will use his or her best efforts to investigate the complaint and submit a written report containing his or her factual findings to the Committee within thirty (30) days of the Chair’s receipt of the written complaint.
